ZG Series Shaftless

Keene Technology, Inc has developed Zero Speed Butt Splicers to meet the specific requirements of the Tag and Label Industry. These units feature a low maintenance, uncomplicated, and operator friendly design. Its cost effective price tag will make it an easy addition to many applications where the justification for roll changing automation was previously a marginal return on investment.

Shaftless Turret Design

Trying to load an out of round core on to a cantilevered shaft is eliminated, thanks to KTI's "shaftless" turret. Rolls are loaded directly from the floor from the same position each time. The core chucks only engage into the core a few inches, eliminating the need to force a core shaft through the entire core.

Easy Splice Preparation

Splice preparation is not dependent on the operator correctly positioning the leading edge of the new roll. This is automatic with the KTI splicer.

Distributed Control System

All machine functions and powerful systems diagnostics are preprogrammed, and the microprocessor control board is backed by a lifetime warranty.

Low Riding Festoon

The low riding festoon helps eliminate web weave and provides for better control of the web during emergency stops since the splicer can slow down at a lower rate of speed than the press and take up the excess material in the festoon.
